Valley Lo Club Sports Center
2200 Tanglewood Drive
The petitioner, The Valley Lo Club, has submitted plans to replace the existing sports center building with a new building. (The sports center is separate from the main clubhouse facility and is located near the northwest tip of Valley Lo Lake.) The proposed 5,549-square-foot building would include a retail space, administrative offices, indoor golf simulators, a small bar and kitchen, and outdoor patio seating with new landscaping. Plans and renderings of the proposed improvements can be viewed in the project library to the right.
8/18/2025 Project Update: Valley Lo Sports Center 08/18/2025
The Valley Lo Sport Center receives a positive recommendation from the DAC!
On August 6, the Development Adjustments Commission (DAC) unanimously recommended approval of Valley Lo's proposed sport center structure that would replace the existing golf starter building. The recommendation included a request to explore changes to the design of the building to reduce its overall height. It is expected that the Board of Trustees will consider formal approval of the Planned Development Amendment and Final Site Plan Approval during its meeting on September 2. Assuming that approval is granted, the Village could issue a permit for grading and a foundation once final engineering plans are approved. Prior to the construction of the building, the project would then have to return to the DAC for final appearance review, at which time the applicant would present revised design plans related to the height of the structure.
